Vintage Candle Wick Trimmer and Snuffer
$99.95
In magickal practices, it is generally preferred to use a candle snuffer to extinguish a candle’s flame instead of blowing it out. This preference arises from the belief that blowing out the flame can disrupt the energy and intention behind the candle magick. By using a candle snuffer to cover the flame and deprive it of oxygen, you symbolise the capturing of the magick and seal it within the candle until it is ready to manifest.
This attractive 19th-century silver-plated candle wick trimmer and snuffer, accompanied by its original tray, is rare, as the tray is often missing. The piece bears the maker’s hallmark, Hanwood, and features an ornate design. Its rich history is reflected in the layers of patina on its surface, making it an ideal centrepiece for your altar and adding a touch of history and character to your ceremonial rites.
The tray measures approximately 26cm in length, 11cm at its widest point, and 2.5cm in height. The snuffer measures approximately 16.5cm long and 6cm at its widest point. The snuffer and tray are in good condition and sold together; only one set is available. Discover the beauty and charm of this stylish vintage heirloom piece!
