  • Porcupine Quills

    Porcupine Quills

    Price range: $4.95 through $12.95

Porcupine quills are valued in ritual practice for their symbolic qualities of protection and defense. As the porcupine's natural shield, quills represent the ability to establish strong boundaries and ward off negative energies. Their inclusion in mojo bags or spell jars serves as a symbolic barrier against psychic attacks or harmful influences. Because the quill points are sharp, practitioners are reminded to exercise caution, reinforcing the theme of mindful self-protection. Practitioners may position quills near doorways or windows to deter unwanted spirits or negative influences from entering a space. Quills are occasionally bound into a cross shape to serve as protective talismans. Their sharp and sturdy points make them suitable as styluses for inscribing symbols and intentions into candle wax during candle magic. Cleaned quills can also serve as pens for writing spells, petitions, or protective scripts, particularly when used with ritual inks such as Dragon's Blood. Sold individually, or as a group of three, and measuring between 10cm and 12cm, these porcupine quills may also serve as symbolic guardians, representing strength through gentleness. Their use can remind practitioners that vulnerability and openness are compatible with possessing the means for self-defence.   Specifications Description: Porcupine Quills Material: Natural Porcupine Quills Measurements: between 10cm and 12cm   PLEASE NOTE: Due to the raw nature of the quills, edges may be sharp; caution is recommended when handling. Natural variations in each are natural, and all measurements are approximate.   PRICE GUIDE ONE Porcupine Quill $4.95 THREE Porcupine Quills $12.95

  • Wild Hare’s Tail Talisman

    Wild Hare’s Tail Talisman

    $29.95

Throughout history, the hare’s tail has served as a physical charm believed to attract good fortune and offer protection. In British and Celtic folklore, carrying a hare's foot or tail has traditionally served as a charm against evil. Beyond protection, hare charms, recognised for their supernatural attributes and association with shapeshifting, were believed to grant hidden knowledge to those who possessed part of the animal. Owing to the hare's high reproductive rate, these charms are also commonly linked to abundance and new beginnings. Their nocturnal habits further associate them with the lunar cycle, establishing them as symbols of immortality and rebirth. In light of these rich traditions and symbolism, this hare’s tail talisman was carefully handcrafted during a waning moon cycle, setting it apart from ordinary charms. Measuring 8cm by 4cm, it features a vintage brass fitting, finished with both a chain and a pentacle charm.   Here at Gypsy Red Corpse – Artefacts for the Witching Hour, we take great pride in offering ethically sourced and sustainable materials to supplement your ritual practice. We do not, in any way, support or condone the trade of poached or endangered animals or cruelty to animals.
