It is traditionally used in shamanic rituals and spiritual ceremonies due to its cleansing, purifying, and healing properties, which are similar to those of White Sage. When burned, Palo Santo wood produces a fragrant, incense-like smoke that can be used to invoke protection in your ritual space.
