Talking Board Plaque
The design of this plaque draws inspiration from the traditional Talking Board, incorporating the complete alphabet and numerical system, as well as the words yes, no, and goodbye, blended with retro motifs and classic divination symbolism.
The central feature is the Hand of Glory, which contains a protective eye at its centre. Talking Boards are historically associated with necromancy, a practice defined as communicating with the dead to obtain hidden knowledge, predict future events, or uncover secrets. The combination of the Hand of Glory and the Protective Eye work as a ‘power duo’ of spiritual defence. The Hand of Glory is believed to facilitate a connection to mystical realms, while the Protective Eye is thought to ward off incoming negativity.
