Jet is a high-grade, organic gemstone formed from fossilised wood that has been subjected to extreme pressure and heat over millions of years. Jet has been used for jewellery and amulets since the Neolithic period. Also known as the witch’s stone, Jet has been used for thousands of years for its grounding and protective qualities. Historically, it was used to ward off witchcraft and malevolent spirits.  In contemporary use, it is most famous as a shield against negative energy, psychic attacks, and the evil eye. This Jet, sold individually, measures 3cm by 4cm and 0.9cm deep (on average). Shaped into palm stones with a gloss polish, it is sourced from Eurasia.
