Throughout history, the hare’s tail has served as a physical charm believed to attract good fortune and offer protection. In British and Celtic folklore, carrying a hare's foot or tail has traditionally served as a charm against evil. Beyond protection, hare charms, recognised for their supernatural attributes and association with shapeshifting, were believed to grant hidden knowledge to those who possessed part of the animal. Owing to the hare's high reproductive rate, these charms are also commonly linked to abundance and new beginnings. Their nocturnal habits further associate them with the lunar cycle, establishing them as symbols of immortality and rebirth. In light of these rich traditions and symbolism, this hare’s tail talisman was carefully handcrafted during a waning moon cycle, setting it apart from ordinary charms. This unique divination board combines a pendulum and talking board in one design, offering the yes/no/true/false of a pendulum board and the full alphabet of a talking board, with Aset as the central figure, her protective wings spread in a warm embrace. Aset, more commonly known as Isis, is one of the most significant and enduring goddesses of Ancient Egypt, often depicted in a sheath dress, with large, protective wings, sometimes in the form of a kite bird. Originally a secondary figure in the Old Kingdom, she eventually rose to become the "Queen of the Universe" and a universal deity. Known as Great of Magick,’ she was believed to possess powers greater than those of all other gods and was frequently invoked to heal the sick and protect children.  In contemporary culture, Aset is viewed as an archetypal mother figure, representing unconditional love, healing, and protection. Modern practitioners of Wicca and other occult traditions frequently invoke her as a supreme source of magickal power and intuition. Measuring 13.5cm high, 18.5cm wide, and 1cm deep, this handmade divination board is crafted of wood and superbly finished with an epoxy resin on its surface and waxed wood stain on the reverse.
