Hare Bone & Key Shadow Box 1
$125.00
This handmade black shadow box features a sepia-toned witch’s boots backdrop with a machine-sewn pentagram, blending vintage and contemporary design. Asymmetrically arranged, the piece is adorned with curated decorative antique-gold objects, featuring three hare rib bones that arch over an ornate hare’s head key, a hare vertebra positioned below to the right, and an antique plaque above reading “where there’s a will, there’s a way”. Rich in traditional folklore, the witch’s boots and pentagram establish the foundational themes of a sacred path and elemental protection. The hare motifs—the rib bones, vertebra, and hare-headed key—evoke the spirit of the witch’s traditional shapeshifter and familiar, symbolising intuition, agility, and the unlocking of liminal realms. Complemented by the decorative antique-gold accents, the folklore plaque serves as a potent reminder of intent, manifestation, and the unwavering determination of the practitioner’s spirit. The box measures 18.5cm on each side and is 3.8cm deep, making it a unique piece for any ritual space.

Wild Hare’s Foot Talisman ‘A’
$29.95Historical records show the hare’s foot was a popular lucky charm and medicinal talisman long before the rabbit’s foot became a commercial object. Folklore blends pagan traditions, early medical beliefs, and supernatural protection rituals across cultures. In Europe, the hare’s paw was used for protection against evil and illness, venerated as a sacred messenger for its speed and nocturnal habits. The Celts believed hares, living underground, were supernatural creatures tied to the Otherworld. Inspired by this heritage, we present our hare’s foot talisman collection. These hare’s foot talismans have been carefully handcrafted during a waning moon cycle, setting them apart from ordinary charms. Each features a vintage brass fitting, adorned with a chain and a pentacle charm. This collection showcases the front paw, noted as ‘A’ in the photograph of the group of three paws. Sold individually, each measures between 7 and 8cm, with an additional 7.5cm in the chain and pentacle charm. It is the smallest in the collection. For sizes B and C, please see their individual listings.
