The abalone shell is commonly used as a tool for smoke cleansing, also known as “smudging.” It serves to catch ash and embers and is often where a smudge stick is rested before, during, and after the cleansing ritual. To protect the iridescent interior from heat damage, a layer of sand is usually added to the shell.
The shell is also associated with the element of water due to its oceanic origin. When used for smudging, it combines with the burning herbs (Earth), the flame (Fire), and the smoke (Air), bringing all four elements into the ritual. Abalone shells are revered as sacred symbols of protection, spiritual growth, and intergenerational connection.
These stunning natural abalone shells make excellent cleansing and offering bowls, as well as vessels for holding sacred objects such as crystals, amulets, or talismans. Each abalone shell varies in shape and the colours of its iridescence. The shells displayed in the photograph are examples, and the piece you receive may differ. Please review each picture carefully and choose from the options numbered #05 to #07, with prices corresponding to each size.
Please note that these shells are natural and may have slightly rough edges and imperfections.

Frankincense, also known as olibanum, is an aromatic resin obtained from the Boswellia tree, which is native to the dry, mountainous regions of the Middle East, Africa, and India. For centuries, it has been used as incense in religious and magickal ceremonies. Frankincense is one of the oldest documented magickal resins and has been valued for its beneficial properties for over 5,000 years. This resin is known to raise one's spiritual vibration, serving as an incense for cleansing, protection, and purification. Burning Frankincense resin can purify and cleanse a sacred space before rituals, and it can be used to consecrate wands and altar tools. Additionally, it is often included in mojo or charm bags to help practitioners attract luck and success in both spiritual and material pursuits. Other uses for Frankincense include awakening higher consciousness, enhancing meditation, and promoting spiritual growth. It is associated with the deities Ra and Baal, the element of Fire, and the planet Sun, representing masculine energy. To use Frankincense resin, take a small bowl or cauldron that can withstand heat and fill it with sand. Place a lit charcoal disc in the centre and ignite it, ensuring that it begins to burn properly. Once the charcoal is lit, sprinkle a small amount of the resin on top. Remember to never leave the burning charcoal unattended. Each vial of Frankincense Resin contains 30 grams and features a pentacle charm.
