Celluloid Brooch ‘Sunset Scene’
This vintage brooch, dating to approximately the 1920s, exemplifies French craftsmanship. Handcrafted from celluloid, the brooch depicts a couple within a beach scene, including the sun, ocean, and a sailboat on the horizon. The stamp ‘Depose France’ on the reverse confirms its authentic French origin.
Measuring 4cm high, 5.6cm wide, and 0.5cm deep, this brooch features a classic trombone clasp on the back for secure closure. While it shows a few signs of its age, its vintage character only adds to its charm, making it a lovely little showpiece.
