Natural charcoal made from twigs is one of the oldest drawing materials in history. Symbolically, charcoal is known for its ability to absorb and dispel negative energies, making it valuable in purification, cleansing, and protective magickal practices.
The willow tree, from which this charcoal is derived, is strongly associated with folk magick and is often linked to themes of the moon, water, intuition, healing, and grief. Using willow charcoal specifically—rather than other types of charcoal—can enhance the energies in a spell or ritual, particularly those related to intuition or emotional healing. When practitioners use willow charcoal sticks, they can harness the willow’s inherent magickal properties.
Incorporate Willow Charcoal Sticks into your magickal practice by using them to draw temporary sigils, runes, or pentagrams on surfaces like an altar, the ground, parchment paper, or in your Book of Shadows during rituals or spellcasting. They can also be used to mark boundaries for a protective circle. Being a natural product made from wood, these sticks can represent the Earth element on an altar.
Handmade exclusively for Gypsy Red Corpse, these Willow Charcoal Sticks were harvested on a full Moon, then whittled and left to dry naturally. Then, they were pit-fired on a Full Moon to enhance their magickal properties.
Please choose carefully from the three options below regarding quantities and grades: vials containing either 1, 3, or 9 Willow Charcoal Sticks. 1 Stick @ 6-7mm x 100mm length $4.95, 3 Sticks @ 4-5mm x 100mm length $11.95, and 9 Sticks @ 2-4mm x 100mm length $19.95.

A poppet is a physical doll or effigy crafted to represent an individual, with the intention of influencing them through sympathetic magick. According to the principle that "like affects like," actions performed on the poppet are believed to be transferred to the person it symbolises. Cloth is among the most frequently used materials for constructing poppets, which are typically filled with herbs selected for specific intentions. Common ritual purposes include love, protection, healing, binding, and banishing. For healing, the poppet may be filled with herbs such as rosemary or mugwort, as well as crystals like clear quartz, which is often referred to as the master healer. For protection, poppets are similarly filled with herbs and placed in secure locations, often surrounded by protective symbols or within a magickal circle to provide shielding from harm. To address harassment or gossip, practitioners may bind the doll with red string or sew its mouth shut as part of binding and banishing rituals. For love and attraction, two poppets representing a couple may be bound together face-to-face with ribbon to encourage connection. This do-it-yourself poppet kit includes materials necessary to sew and create ONE poppet, as shown (excludes needle and thread). The kit is available with either cream or vintage tea-stained calico fabric, selectable from the options provided. Price is for the complete kit as outlined in the specifications below. Candle burning has a rich history in religious worship, magick, and folklore. The act of burning candles connects the physical world to the spiritual realm. For ceremonial magick, spell casting, and rituals, you can place a taper candle on either side of your altar or position one in the centre. A lighting taper candle is a tall, thin candle that is lit first and then used to light your ceremonial candles during rituals. To enhance your ritual intentions, it can be consecrated through a ceremonial act and then used solely to light your ritual candles. These lighting candles are long and slim, tapering gradually from the base to the tip. They are designed specifically for lighting other candles and are not intended to be burned as standalone candles. Each candle measures approximately 25cm in height and 1cm in diameter. Please note that, due to the handmade process, each candle may vary in shape and size, and slight curvatures are to be expected given their thin design. Caution: Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Always burn candle on a level, heat-resistant surface away from flammable furnishings. Extinguish candles with a candle snuffer, do not blow them out, and allow to cool before handling. If the flame becomes enlarged, snuff it out. Keep the wick trimmed to 1cm to avoid excessive smoking.
