Aset, more commonly known as Isis, is one of the most significant and enduring goddesses of Ancient Egypt, often depicted in a sheath dress, with large, protective wings, sometimes in the form of a kite bird. Originally a secondary figure in the Old Kingdom, she eventually rose to become the “Queen of the Universe” and a universal deity. Known as Great of Magick,’ she was believed to possess powers greater than those of all other gods and was frequently invoked to heal the sick and protect children. In contemporary culture, Aset is viewed as an archetypal mother figure, representing unconditional love, healing, and protection. Modern practitioners of Wicca and other occult traditions frequently invoke her as a supreme source of magickal power and intuition.

Wild Hare’s Foot Talisman ‘C’
$49.95Historical records show the hare’s foot was a popular lucky charm and medicinal talisman long before the rabbit’s foot became a commercial object. Folklore blends pagan traditions, early medical beliefs, and supernatural protection rituals across cultures. In Europe, the hare’s paw was used for protection against evil and illness, venerated as a sacred messenger for its speed and nocturnal habits. The Celts believed hares, living underground, were supernatural creatures tied to the Otherworld. Inspired by this heritage, we present our hare’s foot talisman collection. These hare’s foot talismans have been carefully handcrafted during a waning moon cycle, setting them apart from ordinary charms. Each features a vintage brass fitting, adorned with a chain and a pentacle charm. This collection showcases the hind paw, noted as ‘C’ in the photograph of the group of three paws. Sold individually, each measures between 12 and 13cm, with an additional 7cm in the chain and pentacle charm. It is the largest size in the collection. For sizes A and B, please see their individual listing. Here at Gypsy Red Corpse – Artefacts for the Witching Hour, we take great pride in offering ethically sourced and sustainable materials to supplement your ritual practice. We do not, in any way, support or condone the trade of poached or endangered animals or cruelty to animals. All bones are ethically sourced – death is by natural causes or a by-product of road-kill.

Hunting Trophy ‘Fox Canine Brooch’
$95.00This antique brooch represents traditional Austrian hunting jewellery historically worn by both men and women to attract good fortune during hunts. The combination of fox canines and coniferous motifs, such as pine or larch, represents a balance between the hunter’s mastery over nature and a deep spiritual respect for the forest and its cycles. Historically, these teeth were worn as talismans believed to bestow the fox’s agility and stealth upon the wearer. Beyond being a trophy, animal teeth were historically worn as luck-bringing amulets to ensure success in future hunts. This 1950s Austrian hunting trophy is a rare piece. It showcases two embedded fox canines on either side of silverwork depicting local flora, either pine or larch. The hallmarks on the brooch's swing-arm clasp are illegible; possibly German silver. This one-of-a-kind piece measures about 4cm in length, 3.5cm in width, and 1cm in depth. The accompanying photograph depicts the actual object, and only one is available.
